It is a matter of honor and immense pleasure that destiny has given me an opportunity to lead Balasore College of Engineering and Technology (BCET), Odisha.
Technical Education in India has readily adapted to the global demands and every institution has geared up to meet the global challenges by harnessing the latest technologies in education front. The move towards inter-disciplinary studies, research based and interactive learning with technology integration have opened up several options as well as created multiple challenges. In the wake of privatization of education on increase in India, the major focus is on creating an optimized and vibrant platform for quality in knowledge enhancement and bridging the gap between academia and industry with an objective to build up core competence in students integrating knowledge with skills on the foundation of ethics and values.
The motto of our institute is “commitment to a relentless pursuit towards imparting quality education to meet the ever–changing requirements of today’s industry by continuous streamlining and updating the course curricula”.
With highly qualified and dedicated staff members in our service, the kind of infrastructure and facilities we have build over the years, we are sure to mould the students in such a way as to make them industry Ready. Modern teaching methods using Digital Classes in all class rooms encourage and train the mind of the young future engineers to analyze, reflect, synthesis and enjoy the class room teaching. Moreover a lot of emphasis is given to train the students to improve and enrich their communication skills and managerial skills to meet the demand of the present corporate world. Excellent infrastructural facilities in a good learning atmosphere is an added advantage of the wards of this great institute and I am sure that they will enjoy the four years of study here and carry sweet thoughts and sweet memories with them.
